Final push to rid the village of weeds this Saturday, 6th August. Volunteers welcome!
It’s August and we’re on the homeward run, but the weeds are getting the better of us!
Volunteers and our FAS workers have been working hard and some large projects have been completed eg painting over all the graffiti on all the boxes and walls around Malahide (some still to do), refurbishment of the large fountain in front of the Grand Hotel, new road signs, the clearing of dead shrubs on the Village green, cleaning of many of the road signs, organising The Great Malahide Quiz and helping the council to remove litter are two enormously successful events ie The Malahide Has It Festival and the Prince gig.
Malahide Tidy Towns have been working very hard and next week banners will be erected advertising the Tidy Towns and depicting Malahide’s lovely amenties.
They need one more big push though to clear the village of weeds!
Grab anyone available and meet the team this Saturday 11am on the Village Green.
Bring gloves and any equipment you think you might need.
Lets give it one more big clean up for 2011 to capture thoses prizes in the Tidy Towns Awards or just to make Malahide look good.
Remember Saturday 6th August at 11am on the Village Green
Please come out and help, bring your family and friends to help
