Alan Farrell TD to support Gay Mitchell MEP for presidential nomination
Fine Gael TD for Dublin North, Alan Farrell, has today (Monday) spoken out in his support for party colleague Gay Mitchell MEP to receive the Fine Gael nomination for the Presidential candidacy.
“I whole-heartedly support Gay Mitchell MEP in his bid to become the Presidential candidate for Fine Gael. He is one of the most experienced politicians within both the Irish and European Parliament, having served as a public representative for over 30 years
“His experience to date speaks for itself. We need a President who can relate to the international stage, as well as remaining connected with the people of Ireland.
“I have every confidence in his ability to represent the Irish people both at home and abroad, while remaining loyal to his core values which he has kept throughout his 30 years in public life.”
