Congratulations to Howth – Ireland’s Cleanest Town!

Fine Gael Councillor for the Howth/Malahide Ward Alan Farrell, today Monday congratulated Howth on becoming Ireland’s Cleanest Town in the recent IBAL (Irish Businesses Against Litter) survey announced this afternoon.

I am delighted that an area I represent has been so fortunate in winning the prestigious title of Ireland’s Cleanest Town. It is a wonderful achievement by the Howth Tidy Towns Committee, residents groups, local businesses and of course Fingal County Council staff who work so hard together to ensure that this beautiful Fingal town is recognised as a breathtaking place to live.

I am aware that over the years, the council has included Howth on its weekend cleaning roster to ensure that the town is always presentable to the thousands of tourists and indeed Dubliners who flock there to take advantage of the clean sea air and superb views of Fingal’s coastline and Dublin Bay.
