Construction on phase 2 of Lusk Community College finally begins

Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell is pleased construction on phase 2 of Lusk Community College has finally commenced.

“I am pleased that works on phase 2 of Lusk Community College commenced on January 3rd of this year.

“Students, teachers, parents, and the wider school community have had too long a wait for these works to get underway. This phase of development for Lusk Community College will increase capacity by 650, meaning that the school will be able to cater for a total of 1,000 students.

“This construction process should be completed within 18 months subject to no further delays occurring.

“I will continue to actively engage with my Fine Gael colleague, the Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD and his Department to ensure any unnecessary delays are avoided and phase 2 is completed on schedule.

“Furthermore, it is vital that on-going investment in our educational infrastructure continues in every community across Dublin Fingal in order to ensure our children and young people receive their education in an environment which is conducive to their learning.”
