Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell, is delighted with the allocation of €115,000 to the Fingal Local Enterprise Office to support micro-enterprises and create jobs locally.
“I am delighted with confirmation from the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor that a further allocation of €115,000 from capital funding is being granted to the Fingal Local Enterprise Office to support micro-enterprise and create jobs locally.
“Providing such support for micro-enterprises, which are businesses with fewer than 10 employees, will assist them in securing the future of their business in towns and villages throughout the North County, and will enhance their capacity to grow, allowing greater opportunities for those in Dublin Fingal who wish to return to work.
“Small and medium sized businesses are the biggest employers in the State, and it is essential that we provide them with the resources they need in order to ensure the economic recovery is felt in every home in the North County, and across the country.
“When I recently welcomed Minister Mitchell O’Connor to the North County, I stressed the need for further investment from her Department to make sure small and medium sized businesses received the supports they needed to grow, and ensure continuation of job creation in our local community. This further allocation of €115,000 in capital funding to the Fingal Local Enterprise Office is a prime example of the initiatives required to assist small businesses in securing their futures in our local economy and ensuring that every person has the opportunity to work. Showcasing Fingal in recent weeks with the Minister has delivered tangible result in this additional allocation of funding.
“As the Government TD in Dublin Fingal, I will continue to actively engage with Minister Mitchell O’Connor, and her Department, to ensure small and medium businesses in the North County receive the resources they need in order to sustain, and grow their business, bolster job creation in our local economy and provide opportunities for those from the North County who emigrated to return home.”
