€598,000 allocated to 7 communities in Dublin Fingal under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme

Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell has welcomed the allocated of almost €598,000 in funding for 7 local communities in the North County under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

“I am delighted with confirmation from my Fine Gael colleague, the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring TD that 7 local communities in Dublin Fingal are to receive a combined total of almost €598,000 under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

“As part of this Scheme, Balrothery will receive €100,000 for village enhancements, Lusk has been allocated €200,000 for the tourism hub development project and €36,000 has been granted to the Naul for the development of the community’s heritage product.

“Furthermore, Portmarnock will receive €57,160 for the restoration of heritage stone walls, Portrane has been granted €32,000 to carry out village enhancements, Rush is being allocated €100,000 for village enhancements, and Skerries is to receive €72,000 for town centre enhancements.

“The Town and Village Renewal Scheme provides vital investment for many local communities, and will work towards revitalising our rural towns and villages in the North County.

“I am delighted with the allocation of almost €598,000 to 7 towns and villages here in Dublin Fingal. This funding will provide a boost to our local communities, and will also benefit the tourism potential of the North County.

“Many community groups, and volunteers work throughout the year in our local towns and villages to maintain the beauty of our localities, and this funding will support, and build upon their work by supporting local projects, and working to ensure our communities are welcoming places to live and work.

“As the local Fine Gael TD in Dublin Fingal, I will continue to work to ensure the needs of every community in the North County are heard, and acted upon by Government.”
