Fine Gael TD for Dublin North Alan Farrell has today (Monday) congratulated the Tidy Towns team in Swords on its success so far in this year’s Tidy Towns competition.
“Congratulations and well done to the residents in Swords for coming in at 4th place out of 53 towns and cities surveyed throughout the country in the Litter Classification category.
“This is the best result that Swords has ever received in this competition making it a real contender for the overall prize for Tidy Towns 2011, which is an extraordinary achievement.
“The results described the area as being well presented, fresh, green and above all litter free, with all areas receiving a Grade A.
“I would like to acknowledge all the hard work that local Tidy Town team put into this competition and this has truly been a great result for the residents in Swords. Well done to all involved.”
