‘The Office of Public Works has today (Tuesday) approved funding of €207,000 for flood relief projects in Aspen, Feltrim Road, and Rolestown in North County Dublin.
“Over the coming months, Fingal County Council will receive funds totalling €207,000 to improve flood relief in Aspen, Swords, and Rolestown in North County Dublin.
“€54,000 will be administered to Aspen, where work will focus on increasing the channel capacity by widening the Gaybrook stream along with a 200 metre length. This should alleviate long standing drainage issues affecting homeowners in the area.
“Rolestown is set to receive a significant sum of €153,000 to construct a flood defence embankment along the left bank of the Broadmeadow Tributary in Rolestown.”
