Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal has congratulated Man O’War Gaelic Football Club on its €300,000 Sports Capital Grant allocation to build a new clubhouse facility.
“Earlier this year Man O’War GFC applied for a Sports Capital Grant in order to assist the building of a clubhouse, which will provide facilities for changing rooms, indoor training, a social hall, meeting rooms, store rooms and bathroom facilities.
“The funding will allow the club to provide a new amenity for the greater Lusk, Rush, Skerries and Balbriggan area and will be of real benefit to nearby schools Milverton and Hedgestown as well as local organisations and senior citizen groups.
“I am delighted this significant investment of €300,000 will allow the third phase of its development to take place, following the upgrading of the pitch and the development of a new pitch.
“Overall Fingal have received over €1 million in Sports Capital Grants in 2012 and I am pleased that there has been such a strong investment this year in local sporting facilities that will benefit communities and economies for years to come.”
