New school building plans progressing for Rush N.S

Dublin Fingal TD and Oireachtas Education Committee member, Alan Farrell, has said that progress on a new school building is a positive step for the community.

Deputy Farrell said, “I am delighted that Rush National School’s plans to build new facilities is progressing. Approval to proceed to tender has this week been announced by the Department of Education.”

“The new building will see an additional 32 classrooms and 2 classroom SEN base and ancillary accommodation. When complete, this project will deliver state of the art facilities for children and staff.”

Deputy Farrell continued, “Education is at the heart of our society and investment in the quality and standard of our schools cannot be underestimated.”

“This week’s announcement is a positive step for the community, the parents, teachers and most importantly the students who attend Rush N.S.”

Deputy Farrell added, “I look forward to working with stakeholders on seeing this project come to fruition and will continue my work to see greater investment in our local schools and educational settings in Fingal.”

“It was an absolute pleasure to host five classes of students from Rush National School over the last few weeks on tours of Leinster House. It makes this announcement on the next phase of delivery of their new school all the more exciting.”
