Opening of new ‘The Works’ store in Swords highlights the attractiveness of the North County for new and expanding businesses

Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell was pleased to attend the official opening of the new ‘The Works’ store in Swords this morning (Friday) and has said the opening of this new store highlights the attractiveness of the North County as a home for new businesses.

“I am delighted that ‘The Works’ have officially opened a new store in the Pavillions in Swords. This new Swords location is their 450th store across Ireland and the UK.

“The opening of this new store has created 8 new jobs in Swords, and I would like to express my best wishes to all of the employees, and the manager Aisling Lennon for their future in Swords.

“The fact that ‘The Works’ have chosen Swords as the home for the 450th store across Ireland and the UK is testament to the attractiveness of the town, and the greater North County for new and expanding businesses. The Works now employ just under 100 people throughout the country.

“Ensuring job creation in towns and villages across Dublin Fingal continues is of paramount importance to our local communities.

“As the local Fine Gael TD, I will continue to engage with my colleagues, the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD and the Minister for Employment and Social Protection, Regina Doherty to ensure job creation, and employment activation measures continue to benefit people across Dublin Fingal.

“Furthermore, I will also maintain my work in ensuring the needs of local small businesses are heard, and acted upon, particularly with regard to supporting them to grow, which will allow them to create more jobs in communities across the North County.”
